Around the day that would’ve been President George Washington’s 286th birthday, news came out his hair may have been found. Historians found what they believe is a lock of his hair. It was tucked away in an old book.

Researchers at Union College in Schenectady, NY were doing an inventory of their library. In an old almanac, they found an envelope stuck between the pages. It had notes which led them to believe it was George Washington’s hair inside.
They also note that unlike many men during those times, President Washington did not wear a wig.
